On May 16, 2023, Moms Demand Action, Students Demand Action, Arts4Impact, and Survivors from across state gathered at the Illinois State Capitol to lobby for gun violence prevention bills.

Throughout the day, activists delivered orange fabric strips from the memorial to all 180 Senators and Representatives with the attached note:

This fabric represents the four people across the state of Illinois who lose their lives to gun violence. Every. Single. Day. Their fate is in your hands. What will you do?
